Culture Shock with Katrina Catizone

We return to coverage of Days of the Dead Culture Shock with artist Katrina Catizone.  Her charcoal drawings really caught my attention.  It is hard not to further investigate a wall of pictures which included John Waters (visible over her right shoulder), Abe Vigoda and Spiderman.
Self-taught, Catizone does "hyper-realistic portraits" and charcoal drawings.  In addition to the ones listed above, I also saw Princess Leia, Christopher Walken, Catwoman Julie Newmar and many others.  A you can tell, her subject matter is quite varied.  Aside from her obvious talent, her wide range of coverage also fascinated me.
All of her creations are beautiful, but the charcoal art really is incredible.  The pictures are rich and detailed.  They could almost pass for photographs.
Head over to KatrinaShop on Etsy to see and purchase Catizone's creations.  You can also follow Katrina Catizone on Instagram and Katrina Catizone Art on Facebook.
