Damon Bowie at Wizard World Chicago 2015

I have to thank my pal Michael Bradley (aka the Crescent City Saint, aka Mr. Year 'Round Tan) with leading me to illustrator Damon Bowie.  Bradley knew Bowie from their time in New Orleans.  Bradley was a natural to do the interview with Bowie and that can be found at On the Beat with Damon Bowie at Wizard World 2013.
Bowie has been a professional artist from the age of sixteen.  His clients have included Upper Deck, Marvel and Heritage publishing.  He states that through his work and approach to fan art, he has realized his lifelong ambition.
His work is bold, beautiful and colorful.  I absolutely love the picture below.  Not only does it capture a great amount of his fantastic creations, it appears as though we are rising out of the display.  It's like we are ensconced in his creations.
This leads me to another cool thing about Bowie.  His booths at comic cons are done extremely well.  He showcases his work and his talent.  Too often these creative folks have a barren booth.  This is their time to shine, to grab new fans and entertain old fans.  Bowie accomplishes all.
His subjects include Star Wars, wrestlers, Harry Potter and more.  You can check out all of his work at DamonBowieArt.com and follow him on the Damon Bowie Art Page on Facebook.
