Celebrity Jersey Cards #276 John McEnroe & Chris Mullin
This is a regular series which attempts to combine my lifelong passion for trading cards with my semi-professional interest in celebrities. We continue working our way alphabetically through Major League Baseball.
Tennis legend John McEnroe was born in West Germany, but now resides in New York. He is a fan of his hometown Mets. When he threw out a first pitch, catcher Travis d'Arnaud received it and joined McEnroe on his Celebrity Jersey Card.
Basketball Hall of Famer Chris Mullin was born in New York and despite playing for the Golden State Warriors, Mullin has remained true to his NY roots. He went to college at St. Johns and is currently their basketball coach. For his first pitch, Mets ace Matt Harvey gave him tips and joined him on his Celebrity Jersey card.
