On the Beat With Kaia Parnaby of the Chicago Bandits 2017

We continue to have a blast covering the back-to-back National Pro Fastpitch champion Chicago Bandits.  Today, we feature pitcher Kaia Parnaby, another of the "Aussie Eight" playing with the Bandits.
Kaia starred at the University of Hawaii, going an impressive 55-10 over her junior and senior seasons.  She also has played for the New South Wales U16 team and the senior Australia women's national softball team, among other elite squads.
Kaia signed with the Bandits during the last NPF offseason.  Although she made her debut fairly recently, she has already made an impact.  She has started 3 games, completing 2, while gaining 2 victories against 1 loss.  She has racked up 15 strike outs and only 4 walks, while having an outstanding ERA of 1.91.
In our interview, Kaia talked about the differences between Australia softball and the NPF, her highlight so far in the NPF, her career at the University of Hawaii and more.
As always, I greatly appreciate the hospitality of the Bandits in allowing me the access to this great team and sport.  I also appreciate the fantastic support from the Australian community.  Our new friends there have been wonderful.  Finally, thank you to Kaia for her time and consideration.
The NPF season is coming to an end and the Bandits are still fighting for a playoff spot.  Keep coming here for recurring coverage.  Most of all, come out out a game and head to ChicagoBandits.com for more info and schedules.
