Barbara Eden At Motor City Comic Con 2017

Barbara Eden has had a lengthy, successful career, but to most of us, she will always be Jeannie from television's I Dream of Jeannie.  It's a role that she embraces graciously.
Cuzz and I met Eden at the Motor City Comic Con last year.  She seemed so happy and genuinely touched by the fan response there.  At almost 50 years after the show stopped producing original episodes, it is still being aired in reruns.  That speaks voumes of the quality of those shows.
Eden is easily on the Mount Rushmore of women television actresses of the 1960's.  I'd have Eden, Elizabeth Montgomery, Mary Tyler Moore and Barbara Feldon.  They all seemed so beautiful and classy.  I have been fortunate enough to meet two of them (Feldon being the other).
The Motor City Comic Con continues to bring in great celebrity guests.  I love that the MCCC usually has a handful of sitcom stars from the 1960's and 1970's.  The older fans haven't forgotten about the great stars of our youth and the younger ones get to see the stars from the reruns they have enjoyed for years.
The 2018 Motor City Comic Con is lining up guests and it promises to be another great event.  It runs from May 18-20.  You can go to MotorCityComicCon.com for more info.  Also check back here for my recurring coverage of the MCCC.
