Kelli Maroney at Flashback Weekend 2011

Flashback Weekend returns to Rosemont from Friday, August 3 through Sunday, August 5. Leading up to it, I am sharing some of my favorite times at Flashback Weekend.
One of my favorite interviews of all time was with Kelli Maroney at Flashback Weekend in 2011. I had been a fan of Kelli since she first appeared on tv's Ryan's Hope in 1979. Kelli also appeared in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Night of the Comet, Not of This Earth and many of my other favorite movies.
I had a celebrity crush on Kelli from the start. Ironically, she also played the role of Tina Lord on One Life To Live. That was a role originated by Andrea Evans, another longtime favorite.
It's always risky when meeting and especially interviewing a favorite. There is always a chance that it can go bad and damage your image of that person. Fortunately, with Kelli, all could not have gone better.
Kelli was a real sweetheart. Despite having a long line of fans all weekend, Kelli gave me a few minutes of her time and I got my interview. (I also have to thank Contributor Extraordinaire Matt Parker for his patience and logistical expertise in facilitating this interview).
Still acting and still a sweetheart, Kelli had a role in Hell's Kitty, released earlier this year. She also has 3 other projects set for release soon.
Go to FlashbackWeekend.com and the Flashback Weekend Facebook page for more info and updates. You probably won't see Kelli there (but you never know), but you will see me there "On the Beat" all weekend!
