Celebrity Jersey Cards #385 Mike Rowe & Pat Sajak

Celebrity Jersey Cards is a regular series in which I create virtual trading cards for celebs wearing sports jerseys. Today, we continue our alphabetical romp through Major League Baseball.

Actor and tv host Mike Rowe was born in Baltimore, MD. As an Eagle Scout, Rowe read to blind students at the Maryland School for the Blind. Rowe credits this with sparking his interest in narrating and writing. Rowe earned his Celebrity Jersey Card while throwing out a pitch for his beloved Orioles. I bet that wasn't a "dirty job."
Born and raised in the Chicago area, Pat Sajak was a teenage disc jockey and also performed that duty in Vietnam. In 1981, Merv Griffin wanted Sajak to replace the departed Chuck Woolery of Wheel of Fortune, but then-NBC President Fred Silverman was against it. Silverman was soon dismissed and Sajak has been the host ever since. With a streak like that, it only seems natural that Sajak wore Cal Ripken's #8, on his Celebrity Jersey Card.
