Unfortunately, the Chicago Bandits 2018 season ended with a loss to the USSSA Pride in the NPF championships. Despite the loss, it was a great season and I had a lot of fun. I wrote about the end of the season online for Global Traveler at National Pro Fastpitch Championship.
This was my 5th season covering the Bandits and it keeps getting better. Once again, I interviewed almost every player (some day I will get Danielle O'Toole). Those interviews and all the interviews with the Bandits over the years can be found on the Johngy's Beat Chicago Bandits playlist on YouTube. There are over 140 interviews with Bandits past and present.
The Bandits finished in 2nd place and were a solid team. The USSSA Pride was just a bit better. I am sure the Bandits will address some needs in the offseason. I am already looking forward to the 2019 season.
