Yesterday, I featured DePaul softball Coach Tracie Adix-Zins. Today, I turn the spotlight on DePaul Assistant Director of Athletic Communications Bob Sakamoto, who facilitated all of my coverage of the softball team (and previously the women's basketball team, too).
Bob might be better known as a newspaper writer and author. Growing up reading Bob's stories in the Tribune, I never imagined I would one day be working alongside him. It has been a bit surreal, but it has definitely been a cool experience.
I appreciate all Bob has done for me with the women's basketball team and the women's softball team. He has been completely professional and a huge help in facilitating my coverage.
Bob is beloved by all who know him and everyone knows Bob. He's just a really good guy.
I thank Bob and DePaul University for allowing me access and for providing lots of great entertainment. It has been a blast and I look forward to next season for both women's basketball and softball.
