C2E2 2022 takes over Chicago August 5-7. As always, I'll be "On the Beat" interviewing creators in Artist Alley. One such talented person is Mike Perkins.
Illustrator Perkins has worked on Captain America, Thor, The X-Men and more for such companies as Marvel and DC Comics. Perkins has moved around the world during his career, but fortunately, I was able to meet him at C2E2 2017.
His backstory is unique. He states he first picked up a comic when he was two. By 10, he created his own anthology series. Clearly, Perkins was destined ror a career in comics.
In addition to his work in the comics industry, Perkins also does commissions. He has a full price list on his site. I applaud and appreciate any artist doing commissions. It allows fans to have their faorite subjects done in the style of their favorite artists.
