Taylah Tsitsikronis: From Chicago Bandits to Team Australia

In the recent Olympics, Team Australia did slightly better than Team Italy, featured yesterday here. Australia went 1-4. One of the stars for Australia is Taylah Tsitsikronis.
Taylah began her softball career at the Penrith Softball Club when she was only six. In 2010, she was named the Western Sydney Academy of Sport Athlete of the Year. She was only 16 then! She turned pro in 2015. In 2018, Taylah joined the Chicago Bandits, as part of the Aussie Eight who partnered with the team.
What a great experience that was to have eight Aussies on the team and their families and fanbase connected to us. It really was a special time. My interview with Taylah can be found at On the Beat With Taylah Tsitsikronis.
In the Olympics, Taylah went 3-9 with a double and a run scored. Like the rest of my softball player friends, it was awesome seeing Taylah on the big stage.
I don't know if I will ever see Taylah in person again, but I am sending a big thank you to her for her time and consideration while in the NPF. I also congratulate her on her Olympics appearance.
