Flashback Weekend returns to Rosemont (Chicago) August 15-17. As usual, I will be "On the Beat" all weekend meeting all sorts of celebrities and creative folks.
Flashback always has a full lineup of celebrity guests, but I never overlook the crowd for other notables.
Such is the case with writer Michael West. An Indiana native, author West has written several horror novels. I met Michael many years ago at a hhorror convention in Indiana. Since then, I have bought several of his books. While I haven't seen him as a vendor at a convention in a while, I spot him in the crowd on occasion.
This year, Flashback is headlined by Robert Englund. There are dozens of other celebrities, creative folks and vendors there, too. It is always a stop on my annual convention circuit. Don't forget to check the crowd, too for other interesting folks.
