Henry G was the driving force behind the now-defunct Global Women's Sports Radio. Henry recruited me to write for it and I had a lot of fun doing it.
Unfortunately, Henry eventually moved on to other things and we lost contact. I will always appreciate Henry giving me the opportunity to write about the sports I love and to do editing, too. I worked hard for Henry and he appreciated it. We had a good thing going, but times change and I hope he is on to bigger things.
One bigger thing he encountered was mascot Gigante of the San Jose Giants, the single A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. With a listed height of "larger than life" and a weight of 5,000 bananas, he bats with a banana. Somehow I think these stats and facts are not factual. In any case, much like I do, Henry made certain to get a picture with the furry creature.
