About 12 years ago, I interviewed wrestler Christina Von Eerie. As I was relatively new to te interview game, I had not asked her prior to the event. I just asked her on the fly and she graciously gave a few minutes of her time, despite having a match later that night. That interview is at On the Beat with Christina Von Eerie.
Since then, I think I have only seen her wrestle in person once. She wrestles mostly on the west coast. I have to settle for following her on social meia and YouTube, catching matches wherever I can.
CVE was my first favorite on the independent wrestling scene. She had a great look, ability and charisma. Years later, she hasn't lost a step. She also seems to not have aged, although I am sure her body aches and pains tell her otherwise. You can't do as much wrestling as she has done without accumulating soreness.
Recently, I bought a new CVE shirt. I believe it was her first new one in years. A couple weeks ago, she sent me a couple cool 8x10s. I thanked her and asked for an interview. I have wanted an update interview from her for years. This was the best time to ask.
CVE politely said she doesn't really like doing interviews, which I totally respect. So now my next hope is to eventually see her wrestle in person, before she retires (which I hope is a long way away).
While I won't get the interview, I am happy with the signed pictures. "CVE 'hearts' Johngy's Beat" is the best written promo I have gotten. I really appreciate it.
Look for CVE on social media and in wrestling rings out west. You will not be disappointed.
