Ohio native Lauren Curry made a great debut for Northwestern, pitching a scoreless inning. A versatile athlete, she finished her career with more appearances at the plate than on the mound. She was the ultimate team player, always encouraging her mates. She also was a big fan favorite, always greeting fans with a big smile (even for us older fans, as witnessed below).
Lauren leaves Northwestern as she heads for her bright future. It was a pleasure following her career throughout the years. Despite not playing as much as she would have liked, she earned her place in NU history and fans' hearts.
