Beam Johngy Up, Scotty

I wasn't a huge fan of Star Trek, but I recognize the impact of that series and the following franchise. It has become an American Institution.
At a Hollywood Collectors Show several years ago, I saw James Doohan. I respected his contributions and status and decided to meet him.
Doohan was very friendly, even giving my photographed a free signed photo. Sadly, Doohan was not doing very well. He took a long time to just sign his name on the photo. Apparently Parkinson's Disease was really starting to have an effect on him. He was a gamer though, meeting and greeting all of his fans all day long.
