Blue Meanie Looks Happy

Brian Heffron started wrestling in Al Snow's gym in 1994. Within a couple years, Heffron joined ECW and took the moniker the Blue Meanie (taking the name and persona of the villain in the Beatles animated movie Yellow Submarine). The Blue Meanie would eventually make his way into the WWE, back to ECW and back to WWE.
Often times, the Blue Meanie was involved in the more comedic side of wrestling (which some would say is most of it). He has won a few indy titles and was ranked #500 (of the top 500 active wrestlers) by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2003.
When I met Blue Meanie at the Ultimate Collectibles Show, he was true to his reputation. He was a blast. He was very glad to joke and pose with people. He seemed excited to be there and happy to be around the other stars. It is always more fun when the celeb is having fun and Blue Meanie was certainly having fun.
