Bear Down Sunday #3

The Bears are facing the Green Bay Packers today.  The Bears are 1-1 and looking questionable, while the Packers are 2-0 and looking solid.  This is one of the longest, most heated rivalries in all of sports.
No two players better embody this rivalry than Dick Butkus and Ray Nitschke.  Both men were born in the Chicago area, went to the University of Illinois, played middle linebacker, played with only one team and were inducted into the Hall of Fame.  The debate still rages as to which player was better.
When I found out that Butkus would be appearing at Caesars during my trip to Las Vegas, I made the plan to finally meet the legend.  This was one we all enjoyed.  Butkus was funny, friendly and talkative.  It was a real pleasure meeting him and even more because we all did it together.
Scott, Matt and Jean Parker, with Dick Butkus and me in Las Vegas, NV-March 2011.
