I first met Louie in late 1987 at the Skokie (IL) office of Lerner Newspapers. I had just taken a new job there and was sitting in what I thought was my seat. I was mistaken, as it was actually Louie's spot. I lost my chair, but gained a longtime great friend.
Louie and his entire family have always treated me like family right from the start. Through many ups and downs at work, I have always felt relieved to know that Louie always had my back (and I always tried to have his). I could not have asked for a better workmate, business partner or friend.
Here's to Louie. I hope you have a great birthday!
