Celeb Jersey Cards #107 Don Mattingly & Alan Thicke

This is a regular series which combines my passion for trading cards with my interest in celebs.  Today, I salute the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings.

Don Mattingly played fourteen seasons with the New York Yankees, collecting 2,153 hits.  He is in the category of not-quite Hall of Fame, although he probably would have made it if not for a bad back.  In 2011, "Donnie Baseball" switched coasts and became the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers   Mattingly has done a solid job in L.A. and is becoming quite popular there.  He did it right when he "donned" the Kings sweater for the ceremonial puck drop and for his first Celebrity Jersey Card.

A native of Canada, Alan Thicke is a huge hockey fan.  Thicke has been known to play in various charity or pickup games.  He even had his nose broken twice by Gordie Howe while playing.  It is hard to tell if those are official hockey pants, but if they are, Thicke becomes the first celeb to wear an entire hockey uniform (including skates) for a Celebrity Jersey Card.
