Johngy Joins the Skokie Patch

As you all know, did some writing while I was at Lerner Newspapers, despite being in the Circulation Department.  I also write an online piece for Global Traveler magazine every Wednesday, as well as writing the occasional print piece for GT, too.  I contribute to WrestlingFigs.com with reports from wrestling events.
A few months ago, I started a new writing venture, as a contributor for the Patch, an online source of neighborhood news.  My home base is the Skokie Patch, although I have written for other Patches.  The Patch is a great site and I am not just saying it because I contribute to it.  I check the Skokie Patch regularly for news and entertainment.
At OakFest in Oak Forest (IL), I ran into the Oak Forest Patch Editor Lauren Traut.  Seeing Lauren at the Patch booth brough back bad memories of working neighborhood fests during my days at Lerner.  I must say though, Lauren looked a lot happier than I did.  She seemed genuinely happy to be there (or else she is a great actor).
