Celebrity Jersey Cards #337 Joe Namath & Cheryl Tiegs

Celebrity Jersey Cards is a weekly series in which I create virtual trading cards for jersey-clad celebrities.  Today, we continue working our way alphabetically through Major League Baseball.

A native of Beaver Falls, PA, Broadway Joe Namath made his name in New York leading the Jets to a Super Bowl and guaranteeing the win.  He is one of the most memorable athletes on and off the field.  Namath's Celebrity Jerey Card bends the time continuum because the Rays were not in existence when this card would have been released.  Namath gets extra points for the inclusion of Florida Marlins coach Joe Espada and an umpire.
Minnesota born Cheryl Tiegs is one of the most iconic figures of the 20th century.  Her posters and Sports Illustrated appearances rocketed her to fame.  Like Namath, her Celebrity Jersey Card breaks the time continuum, but nobody is complaining.  Still, I would suggest she ditch the belt (or whatever that thing is around her waist).

The cards look good, the celebs not so much. Tiegs looks a little like she's coming from the dojo and what's with Joe's pants?

Haha I agree. I think the belt Tiegs wore was the problem. I have learned that the only thing worse than tucking in a jersey is wearing a belt over the jersey.
