On the Beat with Judas Beast for a Great Cause

Judas Beast is "Chicago's ultimate tribute to Iron Maiden and Judas Priest," according to their website JudasBeastChicago.com.  On Friday May 10, this tribute band will be paying tribute to the late Sam Thompson.
As I have previously written, Sam Thompson lost his life to cancer almost a year ago, after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis.  Sam was a gentle, loving man, who was loved by everyone who knew him.  His spirit touched so many and he continues to be in our thoughts, prayers and hearts.
I feel blessed to have known Sam even so very briefly and for knowing the rest of the Thompson family.  I am also proud to be a part of Resistance Pro, Sam's other family.
At Sunday's R Pro show, I talked with a couple members of Judas Beast and I learned of the Sam Thompson Memorial Show.  I promised to get the word out as much as I could.
Clearly I am a guy all for self-promotion.  I even have my own shirt.  Yet, I believe more strongly in promoting great causes and wonderful people.
Honoring Sam Thompson, benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and helping the Thompson family are all excellent reasons to go to this event.  Plus, you will hear outstanding music courtesy of Judas Beast.  This has all of the makings of a wonderful and highly entertaining evening.
