On the Beat with Jill Sixx at Days of the Dead Indy 2014

Director and producer Jill Sixx Gevargizian was one of the first people I contacted for interviews at Days of the Dead in Indy.  Jill's latest project is Call Girl, a horror movie short about a guy who attempts "to exploit his date night via video-chat, he ends up sharing something far more disturbing."
The concept intrigued me.  Even more fascinating is how Jill could have told this story in short film version.  I am in awe of shorts like Call Girl, which tell the story so quickly.
I used to hate short stories in print or on film.  I hated that they were not "fully developed" (in my eyes) into a "real story."  It is only through reading several horror anthologies and watching several short films, that I have really grown to appreciate these shorties.  I realize now that they are two completely different concepts all together.  Neither is better.  Both require talented people to produce the finished product.
Jill was very friendly and enthusiastic about Call Girl when we talked at Days.  This is an exciting time for Jill.  The movie is being screened at several conventions and fests.  It is getting great reviews.  It must be awesome watching the finished product being well-received and gaining popularity.  I am excited for her!
I hope to meet Jill again at future cons.  I plan on following the progress of Call Girl and Jill.  Just like I like discovering new authors, I love finding new film makers like Jill.
After you watch the interview, please check out the Call Girl Facebook page and also follow Call Girl on twitter.  I am also excited about whatever might come next from Jill!  Stay tuned.
