At a practice this season, Coach John Witte showed me the Bliss championship ring. Below it is pictured in all of its glory.
It is a hefty piece of jewelry, but the significance is far heavier than the actual weight. The team, from top to bottom, has busted butt for the better part of a year top reach this point again. I have had an up close view of all of the blood, sweat and tears. I know it sounds cliche, but it is reality.
I have seen what you won't see on "reality" shows. I have seen long practices, repetitive drills, intense sessions. I have seen laughing and crying and everything in between.
I applaud Coach Keith Hac, his staff and every member of the roster. These people are as tough as they come.
Tomorrow night, it all comes down to one more game. The Chicago Bliss face the Atlanta Steam. Good luck to the Bliss. Good luck to my friends! I am proud to have been on this journey and I want to see the predictions, expectations and dreams come to fruition!
Get another win. Get another ring!
