On the Beat with Alex Broadhurst of the Rockford IceHogs-04/04/2015

Last Saturday, Jason Fleigel and I returned to Rockford to catch an IceHogs game against the Rochester Americans.  We love going to Rockford for games, especially when we watch them from the Press Box.
This was an important game for the IceHogs.  They figured to make the playoffs, but are trying to take first place in Midwest Division.  Every win at this point is crucial.
The Americans are on the opposite end of the spectrum.  They are mired in last and are playing out the season.  That does not mean they played dead though.
The Americans played tough, but the IceHogs were just too much on this night, as they cruised to a 7-2 victory.  The IceHogs outshot the Americans 38-18.  Alex Broadhurst talled two goals and an assist on his way to being named the #1 star of the game.
The seven goals sent the fans home happy, because of the win, but also because they earned free cheeseburgers from Culvers.  Broadhurst talked about this and other topics in the interview below.  Kudos to Jason Fleigel for handling the interview.
