Today, the Johngy's Beat and Justin's World of Softball joint coverage of the 2015 Chicago Bandits brings us to second year outfielder RT Cantillo. Her full name is Rebekah Taylor Cantillo.
RT starred at the University of Mississippi before being drafted by the Bandits. In her rookie season of 2014, she had 55 at bats and hit .218 with 2 rbi's and 11 runs scored. This season, RT is scuffling a bit, hitting .158 in 19 at bats, with 3 runs scored.
Her stats are not gaudy, but they don't reflect her value to the team. RT is an important role player. She can be called upon to pinch run or provide late game defense. RT accepts these roles proudly and gets the job done. She has a great attitude.
