Ruff Crossing was one of the first indy wrestlers who caught my eye. I announced myself as a "Ruffian" as a sign of my fandom. Okay, maybe that isn't too original, but what in wrestling is?
Anyway, Ruff is a very talented wrestler. I have seen him wrestle all over, winning titles and gaining fans. One such place was Blizzard Brawl.
This year, the usual Blizzard Brawl event has morphed into House of Hardcore 21: Blizzard Brawl, but it promises to be everything you'd want. Call it whatever you want, it is still going to be a great wrestling show in Waukesha, at the same time as Blizzard Brawl was, featuring some of the same talented wrestlers and stars...you get the point. As I wrote, what is original in wrestling?
It doesn't have to be original to be creative and entertaining. Ruff isn't the first cowboy in wrestling. Especially in the more characte-driven years, cowboys were one of the most common characters. Ruf, however, is not common. In a room full of cowboys, he would stand out. In an arena full of wrestlers, he stands out. He's that darn good.
I don't know if Ruff will be on the House of Hardcore card. If he had no other commitment, it is a good bet that he will at least be at the show. I'm hoping to see my friend again.
