I always say Elliott Serrano is what Johngy's Beat dreams of being. He is called "The King of Chicago Geeks" and he welcomes that title. He's earned it.
The man has done it all. He's written for the Red Eye and Playboy. He's frequently on the radio. He's had many roles at the various comic con events in the area. If it's geeky and nerdy, Elliott will be there, but despite the subject and his surroundings, Elliott remains a cool dude.
I'm happy to say he is also one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. I had the pleasure of working with him on a benefit show last year and also interviewing him for an upcoming show on HeroTV.
After that interview (because I hadn't bothered him enough), I asked him to do a promo for Johngy's Beat. Of course, he agreed, because he is just that nice.
