Congratulations Northwestern Wildcats Coach Kate Drohan

The Northwestern Wildcats beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish yesterday to improve their record to 30-7. The game had historical significance, as head coach Kate Drohan and associate head coach Caryl Drohan notched their 600 victory with the Wildcats. In 18 seasons at NU, the sisters have an overall record of  600-352-1 record.
Knowing the pair a little bit, I am sure they eschewed any hoopla over the milestone. Of course, they recognize the accomplishment and appreciate the fanfare, but right now, they are too focused on the season.
They are tied for 1st place with Michigan. Both teams have a perfect 9-0 record in conference play, but Michigan is 27-10 overall. There are about 18 games left in the season and the two teams will not meet.
The Wildcats are having a great season and the rest of the way promises to be very exciting. The Drohan sisters will have plenty of time to celebrate after the season, but for now, they are concentrating on keeping the team rolling.
