The Motor City Comic Con was supposed to be this weekend, but it has been postponed due to the pandemic. While I sadly wait for the situation to be resolved and the MCCC to be rescheduled, I am recalling some of my favorite times there.
Sarah Wilkinson is an artist who has worked on comic books, trading cards and other projects. In the world of trading cards, Sarah has illustrated for Indiana Jones, Star Trek, My Little Pony, Dr. Who, Bettie Page, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Batman, Wonder Woman and more. Her first job was with Topps when she was only 19 years old.
In addition to her work projects, Sarah also creates her own art. Much of her work was on display when I met her at MCCC a few years back. Sarah had to have one of the most diverse and plentiful selections, among the many talented artists there.
On a side note, Sarah describes herself as a crazy cat lady and a foodie. I describe her as a talented and very nice artist. I hope to see her again this year.
