Statues Week: Friend Encounters Edition: Roddy Piper and the Toombs Clan

Friend Encounters is a weekly series featuring friends who have met celebrities. For Statues Week, it is a Special Friend Encounters Edition with a celebrity statue.

I have written many times about the late Rowdy Roddy Piper. It's hard to believe he has been gone more than six years. I miss my friend and wrestling favorite.
When planning Statues Week, I knew I had to feature RRP, but I have not seen the Piper statue in person. (#bucketlist) I saw his daughter Ariel (Teal) posted a picture of her family with the statue at its unveiling in 2019. I messaged her and she graciously allowed me to use the picture.
It's a beautiful shot of the Toombs clan surrounding the Piper statue. RRP would be proud. I know his family is proud of this statue.
It's unfortunate the statue doesn't have a permanent location. Maybe someday I will make it to a WrestleMania again and I can see the Piper statue in person. Until then, I will enjoy the picture of RRP immortalized with his family proudly around him.
