Today is my brother-in-law Scott's birthday. I'm sure he is celebrating somewhere in the warmth of Florida, while I salute him from Frigid Chicago.
Not just a brother-in-law, he's a friend, mentor, brother and occasional antagonist. We've had so many good times over the 40 years I've known him. From great trips to Las Vegas to simple stuff like watching bad game shows or enduring Chicago sports teams, it's always fun. I can't thank him enough for all he's done for me, including tolerating me.
Today, I picture Scott with little Teddy, his youngest grandchild. I don't know how time flew so fast, but I appreciate the years with Scott.
