On the Beat With Miss Krystle

Yesterday, I interviewed Miss Krystle, a singer, songwriter, attorney and more. Miss Krystle has a fascinating life and career and I wanted to share her story. That interview is at On the Beat With Miss Krystle on YouTube.

Several months ago, I stumbled upon Miss Krystle's music online and was hooked. The more I heard, the more I loved. She has original songs, as well as cover versions.

As I did more research, I learned there was a lot more to her than her great music. I wanted to learn more directly from her and set out to get an interview. Despite her busy schedule, Miss Krystle was kind enough to give me that interview.

A product of home-schooling, Miss Krystle learned music from her classically trained mother. She even performed with her mother and sister on stage and also television. When she was only 16, Miss Krystle started her own music business, teaching music to others.

Clearly, Miss Krystle wasn't an average 16 year old. At 16, she also started Young Ones United, a child abuse prevention and awareness charitable organization.

With her music career developing, Miss Krystle attended Arizona State University. She wrote her honor thesis on her first album “Identity” and went on to earn her Juris Doctor.

A musician-attorney sounds like a superhero. A second career in law came at the suggestion of her mom and it has proven to be very beneficial to Miss Krystle. It's easy to see how her law background could help her music career, but she explained how music helps her attorney work.

She also discussed her various social media posts, specifically how she remains true to herself even in more serious attorney posts. While there is nothing weird or controversial in her attorney posts, they are different from what anyone would expect. They are completely Miss Krystle and they are completely effective.

Since “Identity” was released, Miss Krystle has had a steady stream of musical releases. She describes her songs a dark pop, a totally accurate description.

I find a lot of her song, especially ones with less instrumentation, mesmerizing. Her voice is almost hypnotic on songs like “God Only Knows”, “Roads to Nowhere” and “Make Me Bad.”

She explained why she describes “God Only Knows” as the perfect song and why she chose to cover it. As I state, that is one of my all time favorite songs. When I first saw she did a cover, I already was a fan of her music and I was curious how she would handle this great song. Her version is absolutely amazing. She put her own spin on it, while staying true to the original. I admit, I think I like her version even better. It's dream-like.

As if she isn't busy enough, Miss Krystle posts a lot of helpful info (video or text) on her various social media platforms. In an age of making money off of everything, it is refreshing to see someone like Miss Krystle offering so much free advice. Ever-humble, she states she is happy to help others.

I'm neither in the music business, nor in need of legal advice, but I am interested in taking in what she puts out. It's useful, interesting info.

One of the benefits of doing what I do is I get to find and interview intriguing folks like Miss Krystle. I really looked forward to this interview and interaction. It was a real thrill and I am so happy with the end result.

I greatly appreciate Miss Krystle's time and consideration. I also am grateful for all of the musical entertainment she provides. Lastly, and most important, I genuinely admire her for all she has done and continues to do.

I encourage everyone to check out her social media accounts. Look for “Miss Krystle” and you will find everything. Definitely, check out her music on YouTube or other platforms. You'll be as impressed as I am.
