Celebrity Jersey Cards is a weekly feature in which I create virtual trading cards for celebrities wearing sports jerseys. With the MLB season upon us, I continue marching through all team alphabetically.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Michael Phelps swam his way to history. "The Baltimore Bullet" won a record 28 Olympic medals. Phelps bravely admitted he struggled with depression and contemplated suicide. Tossing a ceremonial pitch for the Arizona Diamondbacks earned him a Celebrity Jersey Card, which some say is more precious than a gold medal. I can't tell what number his jersey is, but it should be 28.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Jade Carey is a medal-winning artistic gymnast. Having just turned 23, Carey competes for Oregon State University and is still young enough to earn more medals on the international stage. Carey showed her form while tossing a ceremonial pitch for the DBacks, thus earning her Celebrity Jersey Card.
