On the latest episode of The Johngy "OR ELSE" Podcast, Tommy Else and I interviewed Vaitanoa Lloyd Anoa'i (otherwise known as L.A. Smooth) of the Samoan wrestling dynasty. Vaitanoa discussed his fascinating life in and out of the ring.
Being born into the famous Anoa'i family has its benefits, but also great pressure. Vaitanoa was able to carve out his own identity in a successful in-ring career, but he also has done great service as a 17 year veteran of law enforcement.
Vaitanoa told us great stories from being around Andre the Giant, his family's history with Paul Heyman, his mazing kidney transplant story and much more. He's in a great place in life and he is happily giving back as a trainer and advisor.
