Celebrity Jersey Cards #669 Lauren Holly & Susan Sarandon

Celebrity Jersey Cards is a weekly series in which I create virtual trading cards for celebrities wearing sports jerseys.

I have been a fan of Lauren Holly's for almost 40 years. I first saw her on tv's All My Children, which was one of her first big roles. I had the pleasure of interviewing Holly at Wizard World several years ago. The late actor Luke Perry almost cost my chance by talking to her when it was my turn, but Johngy's Beat Contributor Extraordinaire Matt Parker calmed me and pushed for persistence and it ultimately paid off. Holly has dual citizenship in the United States and Canada and is a legit hockey fan. I am a huge fan of the Blackhawks, but Holly makes me want to cheer for the Leafs, despite being Original Six rivals.

New York native Susan Sarandon has carved a legendary career. Among her many awards and accolades, she won Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award, in addition to nominations for a Daytime Emmy Award, six Primetime Emmy Awards, and nine Golden Globe Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Like Holly, Sarandon is a legit hockey fan and stayed true to her New York roots by donning a jersey of the home state Rangers for her Celebrity Jersey Card.
