Heidi Steiner at Resistance

Resistance Pro Wrestling will always have a special place in my heart. Although the end wasn't great, nothing can take away the wonderful times  I had and the special people I met there.

Heidi Steiner, mother of Scotty "WonderBoy" Steiner, is one of the special folks. Not a wrestler and not an RPro "personality," Heidi was always one of the under-the-radar, unsung heroes of RPro. She did a little of everything, including giving great hugs.

When RPro started breaking apart, many people left for various reasons. I missed seeing my friends. After RPro was done and the Resistance rose from its ashes, a few old-timers returned on occasion. Heidi returned at one of the Resistance shows and everyone was happy to see her.

The RPro experience was bittersweet and filled with emotions. Things don't last and experiences don't always end well, but that doesn't take away from the good that occurred during that experience. Maybe time will heal the wounds and we can have a big reunion someday. I doubt it, but you never know.

I haven't seen Heidi since that one return. I haven't seen others at all. I miss what we had, but I appreciate it for what it was. At least I can say I also appreciated it all while it was happening. I made sure to soak in all of it.

Johngy Shirt Heidi Steiner

Back in the days of Resistance Pro Wrestling, Heidi Steiner was a familiar sight at all events. Among other tasks, she worked security at times. Looking at her, you might wonder how she could handle security. She's not a super big person. Although not big in stature, Heidi is a bit of a firecracker (in the best sense of the word). I am pretty sure she could put a hurting on someone if they crossed her.

Heidi's other contribution to RPro was her son Scott (aka the WonderBoy). The two have such a great relationship,. It really is heart-warming.

Since the transition to The Resistance, Heidi hasn't been around much unfortunately. I miss seeing her around.

Heidi always was supportive of everyone at RPro. She helped a friend of mine, whose teenager was going through a rough stretch. She didn't have to reach out, but she did and I appreciate the consideration and compassion she showed.

I also appreciate Heidi for wearing a Johngy shirt to a show. There was a time back then when you could see several Johngy shirts at any event. I always got a kick out of it. It was silly, yet cool (sort of like Heidi herself).

Heidi is just one example of the friendships developed while at RPro. It was a special time with special people, like Heidi.

Halloween with Heidi Steiner

Tonight, Resistance Pro presents "Rust in Peace," their annual Halloween themed show.  When you have a night at RPro and you add the fun of Halloween, complete with costumes on everyone, you get a whole lot of fun and an even more entertaining night than usual.

In honor of Halloween and RPro, I am presenting a full week of Halloween fun at RPro.  I sm starting with Heidi Steiner, an unsung hero of RPro.

You will find Heidi at most RPro shows, although you probably won't find her in the same spot twice.  She wears many hats and performs many duties at RPro.  The folks at RPro know how valuable she is and what she brings to the company, but the fans do not necessarily know a lot about her.

She is the mom of Scottie Steiner, another unsung hero at RPro (and one you will see here later this week).  She connected with RPro through the Thompson family and she has been around from the beginning.  Whether she is selling raffle tickets, working a table, helping with security or anything else, Heidi is always doing it with her usual style.  She is one of a kind and an asset to RPro.  She is another I am proud to call friend.
