Jenevieve Broomall at C2E2 2019

C2E2 returns August 5-7. As always, I will be "On the Beat" meeting interesting celebrities and creators. One of my favorites is Jen Broomall.
Self-taught, Jen has more than 10 years of experience. She has done cover art, character design, concept art, commissions and more.
I have seen Jen many times at comic cons. She's a lot of un, as well as being extremely talented. I always like seeing her new creations. Jen is on my list of people I want see create a version of the Johngy character..
One of my favorites from Jen is a more recent piece she posted on social media. She commented she is trung to use less paint on water colors. She finished by saying it is Tiki time! It's just a fun sketch and I love it.
Go to JenBroomall.com for more info on Jen and her art. Also, check C2E2.com for info and scheduling.

Jenevieve Broomall at C2E2 2017

C2E2 (Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo) is coming March 22-24. As I look forward to this great event, I am recalling some of the fun moments from my many years of covering C2E2.
Jenevieve Broomall is one of my regular stops at any comic con she works. A self-taught artist and a cover illustrator, Jenevieve works primarily with pencil and ink. She also does some work with color. She has worked with Valiant, Coffin Comics, Zenescope, Devil's Due Publishing and many others. While Jenevieve is probably most known for her work with female characters, she also loves drawing monsters and plenty of other subjects.
Jenevieve didn't start seriously drawing until the birth of her first daughter. She states a desire to go into comics to set an example for her daughters and others.
She has a huge gallery of her creations on her site and social media. I think my favorite is a self-drawing. Even the title, a fun play on her name, works well.
Check out Jenevieve's site for more info and to see a lot of her beautiful work. You can also follow The Art of Jenevieve on Facebook and Jenevieve on twitter.
Go to C2E2.com for more info and an updated guest list. You can also follow C2E2 on Facebook for more frequent updates.

Jenevieve Broomall at Motor City Comic Con 2015

At conventions, sometimes the booth attracts my attention and sometimes the person grabs my attention.  At Motor City Comic Con, both happened with Jenevieve Broomall and her booth of art.
Jen was animated and lively at her booth.  If I wasn't already captured by her artwork, Jen would have been interesting enough to get me to stop.
Her creations jumped from her booth.  She seemed to have a bit of everything.  Some were vibrantly colored, while others were black and white.  Some were deeply detailed, while others were simple.  One common element was that it was all beautiful.
I talked to her briefly, but did my research when I got home.  Among her works, Jen is a cover illustrator.  She is known for her work with women on the covers, but she is not limited to just females.
She has done a lot of superhero stuff, too.  Unfortunately, I did not see any Aquaman art, but I saw a really cool Batgirl poster.  Batgirl is too often under-appreciated much like Aquaman.
She also has done a lot of non-superhero creations.  One of my favorites is called Pizzazz Colors, featuring the Jem character with the wild mane of green hair  I admit I am not familiar with the Jem Universe, but I loved how this piece looked.
I also have to mention her "Family Portrait" print.  It is simple, yet deep.  I love it.
Of late, for Halloween, I like the Pumpkin and the Ghost the best, but all of the daily creations were interesting and different.  I like all of them.
For more info, updates and images from her, check out the Jen Broomall Deviat Art site and the Art of Jenevieve Broomall Facebook page.  Both places have a ton of thumbnails of her work.
