On the Beat with the Nasty Boys

Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags were childhood friends, who are collectively known in the wrestling world as the Nasty Boys, a highly successful tag team.  The Nasty Boys won tag team gold in the WWE, the WCW and in smaller organizations.  They are now semi-retired, but still do the occasional match.
They are a highly entertaining duo.  You just never know what they will do next, but they will always entertain.
They were very entertaining at Wizard World, where they captivated fans all weekend.  Knobbs made a brief appearance (interruption) in our interview with Lisa Marie Varon.  We didn't mind, as it provided just another in a long line of laughs.
We approached the Nasty Boys and asked them about their upcoming appearances.  They decided to cut an old school promo, which is featured in the video below.  They will be appearing in Allentown (PA) on October 8, as part of the Hulk Hogan and Friends Tour.  The other 'friends' include Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Brutus Beefcake, Koko B. Knobbs + Sags=Nasty Boys

A while ago, I wrote about meeting Brian Knobbs at the ill-fated Kokomo (IN) show. Knobbs is quite a character. Still, I walked away feeling I was missing something. Last October, I realized what I had missed. I missed Jerry Sags, Brian Knobbs' partner in the Nasty Boys.
The Nasty Boys have been a highly successful tag team in professional wrestling for almost 25 years. Actually, Sags and Knobbs have been together since childhood.
They are a rarity in wrestling, as they have never turned on each other in the ring. They have gone the singles route at times, but never as a result of a turn against the other.
I would have loved to get an interview with them, but merely getting them together for a photo was a chore. These guys were having a lot of fun, goofing with everyone. It made meeting them a bit of a challenge, but it made watching them a whole lot of fun.

Getting Nasty

Brian Knobbs gained fame for being 1/2 of the tag-team known as the Nasty Boys. The Nasty Boys won tag titles in the AWA, NWA, WCW and the WWF (now WWE). Knobbs also won the WCW Hardcore title 3 times.
Knobbs seemed likable the first time I met him. Apparently, I pushed it too far the second day. He's not the first person who wanted to choke me.
