Nick Hausman and Haus of Wrestling

I met Nick Hausman more than a decade ago. Since then, he has been all over the wrestling scene.
If you saw the legendary AEW scrum with CM Punk, you saw Nick involved. That is vintage Nick. Somehow, he is always in the thick of things.
It's not by luck though. Nick is a hustler in the very best way. He works hard at what he does and the results are proof. He's been a manager, broadcaster, interviewer, podcaster, reporter and more.
Nick's latest project is Haus of Wrestling. The website features articles, videos, interviews and more. Like Nick, it is all over the wrestling scene and full of great info. I highly recommend it for wrestling fans. I also congratulate Nick on another excellent piece of work.

Friend Encounters: Billy Corgan and Nick Hausman

Nick Hausman was one of the first folks I met on the independent wrestling scene. Then known as manager Rinaldo Piven, Hausman was carving a niche as one of the area's most popular managers. We even worked together at the beginning of Resistance Pro's existence. That is where he posed with RPro owner Billy Corgan in the pic below (which was photobombed by Ruff Crossing).

A few years later, Nick started to switch to the media side. Since then, he really has taken off. He has worked his way into many big wrestling situations, including the infamous CM Punk All Elite Wrestling media scrum. There was Punk, addressing Nick. It doesn't get much bigger than that.

He also started Haus of Wrestling, a one-stop shop for all things wrestling. He has recaps, interviews, opinion pieces and more. It's a great website for wrestling fans and a regular internet stop of mine.

Nick has earned all he has. He works tirelessly at his craft. Haus of Wrestling is still young and it keeps getting better. I recently interviewed Nick about all of this at On the Beat With Nick Hausman.

On the Beat With Nick Hausman

I have known Nick Hausman for many years. As wrestling manager Rinaldo Piven, Nick was one of my first interviews on the independent wrestling scene. Since then, Nick switched gears and joined the media side of wrestling.
Earlier this week, I interviewed Nick to discuss his career. What a career it has been, too!
With a theater and comedy background, Nick joined the world of pro wrestling. Despite several years as a top manager on the indie scene, Nick took the bold move to join the already crowded media field. Of course, he quickly established himself as a force on that side of wrestling.
Nick's journey ultimately led him to Haus of Wrestling, his fledgling wrestling media empire. Full o news, interviews, exclusives, podcasts and more, Haus of Wrestling is a one-stop shop for all things wrestling.
I often refer to Nick as a hustler and I mean that in the very best sense of the word. Nobody outhustles Nick and he has earned everything he has achieved.
I really enjoyed interviewing Nick, because I have watched his career from almost the beginning. I have enjoyed his progression and I look forward to seeing where else he goes. I appreciate his time and also the fun jingle he created at the end.

Nick Hausman at C2E2 2017

I have to give credit to Nick Hausman. Through a lot of hard work, he has made a name for himself in the world of wrestling.
I first met Nick about 12 years ago, when he was a manager for a Chicago wrestling company. Since then, he has done broadcasting, writing and reporting in Chicago and on the national level.
In the infamous All Elite Wrestling incident involving CM Punk at the press session, Nick was the main reporter involved. CM Punk even addressed him several times.
Admittedly, Nick isn't always the most popular person in the room. Love him or hate him, you cannot ignore him, nor deny what he has done. For the record, I like Nick. He's always been great with me.
Wrestling needs folks like Nick. He gets involved in stories. He knows his stuff and gets the job done.
The next time you watch a wrestling press conference, look for Nick. You might just see him involved in more big stories.

Gene Okerlund and Nick Hausman at C2E2 2017

C2E2 (Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo) returns tomorrow through March 2. I'll be there as usual, but for now, I am recalling some fun moments from previous years at C2E2.
A few tears ago, I got to spend some time with wrestling announcer "Mean" Gene Okerlund at the Headlocked booth C2E2/. On the first day, I had Scott Steiner with me and Gene poked a bit at Scott for his colorful shirt. Gene kept up that humor all weekend, even though Scott wasn't with me the next two days. It didn't matter. Gene was having fun and I had a big laugh every time.
Chicagoan Nick Hausman joined the fun on and off, too. Nick has been involved in the entertainment and wrestling business for a long time.
Headlocked is a wrestling comic produced by the very talented Michael Kingston. With the original goal of creating a "cool wrestling comic," Michael created Headlocked. He has succeeded. It was embraced by the wrestling community, wrestling fans and comic lovers of all sorts. Through hard work (and lots of comic con appearances), Michael has made Headlocked a big success.
A couple years ago I interviewed Michael about Headlocked. That interview can be found at On the Beat With Michael Kingston.
Michael is still working hard producing and promoting Headlocked.  If Michael is aat a comic con, you can bet there will be several wrestlers joining him.
Unfortunately, Gene passed away last year. He was a legend and is sorely missed.
Go to C2E2.com for more info and follow C2E2 on Facebook for more frequent updates. Also, check out HeadlockedComic.com for some more entertainment.

Nick Hausman at C2E2 2016

Nick Hausman is doing great things in the world of professional wrestling.  More precisely, his star is rising on the media end, as he is a featured contributor to WrestlingZone.com.
Most fans of Nick's know that he was an active performer as a manager several years ago.  In fact, we did an interview with him during his stint with Pro Wrestling Blitz.  Nick was "Rinaldo Piven" back then.  By any name, he is quite entertaining.  That interview can be found at On the Beat with Rinaldo Piven.
I reconnected with Nick earlier this year at C2E2.  He was busy coveribg all of the wrestlers and fans at the event, but he took time to chat and actually interview me.  It was very much appreciated.
Nick is a talented guy and I see big things in his future.  I'm just happy to have seen him from his early days.

WrestleZone.com's Nick Hausman Interviews Johngy at C2E2 2016

I met Nick Hausman years ago, while he was a manager on the Chicago wrestling scene.  He was a young guy, with charisma, energy and drive.  Fast forward a few years and he is no longer an active performer.  Instead, he has moved to the other side and is currently covering wrestling for WrestleZone.com.
At the recent C2E2, Nick interviewed me.  That interview can be found at WrestleZone.com's Nick Hausman Interviews Johngy at C2E2.  After joking a bit about the confusion over pronouncing Johngy, Nick asked me about local wrestlers who should get a look by the big leagues.
That is a simple question, yet it is also a loaded question.  It is tough naming a few people and leaving off some very talented wrestlers.  Even so, very talented wrestlers don't necessarily make it to the WWE (or TNA).  I didn't want to just pick my favorite Resistance Pro wrestlers, although even that would have been hard with all who I have seen over the years.
In the end, I chose two wrestlers who have gotten looks by the WWE or TNA.  These two have what it takes.  I also picked an excellent wrestler with a great gimmick, which would work, especially in the WWE.  Finally, I picked the best woman on the scene right now.  She will be a star in the WWE at some point.
Getting back to Nick, he is a tireless worker.  When I first saw he joined WrestleZone.com, I wasn't surprised.  If he ends up with the WWE, I won't be surprised.  He's one of those guys who will work his way through the business.  With a break here or there and continued drive, there's no telling where Nick might land.
I am not fluffing Nick because he interviewed me.  In fact, I had messaged him prior to C2E2 to ask if we could meet up for a quick picture for my coverage.  He asked me for the interview on the spot.
You can check out Nick's work on WrestleZone.com.  WZ is a regular stop on my daily web surfing.  If you like wrestling, WrestleZone.com is for you.
