Cindy Brady and Johngy (Brady?)

I met Susan Olsen for the first time a couple years ago.  She was doing a convention with former castmates, Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland and Robbie Rist.  In May at the Motor City Comic Con, she was joined again by Lookinland.
It was only natural that the two Brady kids would have adjacent booths.  Their banter was also very natural.  It was nice to witness.  They seemed like real siblings.  Both had an 8x10 photo of the other and were continually doodling on it, much like a sibling would do to another sibling's photo.  It was fun to watch.
Olsen said she keeps in touch with the other Brady castmates and loves doing these conventions, especially with any combination of other Brady mates.
Count Olsen as one of the former young stars who has avoided the usual pitfalls of early stardom.  Actually, I think that can be said for all of the Brady kids.  Some day I hope to meet the rest of the cast to see first hand.

Half of the Brady Bunch

Collectors Shows are great for unique photo opportunities.  At the Hollywood Celebrities Show a couple years ago, three of the six Brady kids and cousin Oliver were all seated at one table.  They were signing autographs and posing for pictures all day.
You had any option you would want for pictures.  They would pose in any combination.  I imagine the logistics were a bit difficult.  ERach time someone wanted a group photo, they would all have to walk to a ide area and pose with the fan.  The tricky part was sometimes a fan would want them all, but sometimes just the boys or just the "real" Brady kids (sorry Oliver) or sometimes just the youngest...well, you get the point.
I have to say it all ran very smoothly, despite the potential mind-numbing possibilities.  The stars were also very patient and willing to make everyone happy.
Shows like this are great for the hobby and the collector.  Walking away feeling like you got what you wanted will probably lead to return visits.  I know I have been going to their shows for about 10 years!

The Youngest Brady, Susan Olsen

Didn't everyone in the early 70's want to be a Brady kid? Over the last few weeks, I have highlighted Mike Lookinland (Bobby Brady) and Robbie Rist (cousin Oliver). Today, I am featuring "the youngest one in curls", also known as Susan Olsen.
Olsen has done a little bit of a lot of things since her Brady days. One thing she has not done however is adult movies, despite the rumors. Olsen and I joked about that urban legend when we talked at the Hollywood Celebrities Show. It's just one of those urban legends.
Olsen talked about being close to former co-star Robert Reed. She also said the "tattle tale" episode is the one she least liked, because of the reaction she got from her friends.
Olsen willingly discussed her time as a Brady. I think she would have made a pretty cool younger sister (although she's older than me).
